Welcome
Educational Course & Hands-on Workshop “Basic Skills in Laparoscopic Surgery”
Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to the Educational Course & Hands-on Workshop “Basic Skills in Laparoscopic Surgery”, which will take place on Saturday, the 23rd of May 2026, at the Auditorium of General Hospital of Attica KAT, organized by the 2nd General Surgery Department of General Hospital of Attica KAT under the auspices of the Hellenic Surgical Society and the Hellenic Society of Endoscopic Surgery.
This intensive training course is designed to provide structured education in the fundamental principles of laparoscopic surgery. The program combines focused theoretical sessions with supervised hands-on training using laparoscopic boxes. Four fully equipped workstations will operate simultaneously, each accommodating four participants to ensure individualized guidance and optimal skills acquisition.
The primary objective of the workshop is to facilitate the development of essential theoretical knowledge and core technical competencies required in minimally invasive surgery. Particular emphasis will be placed on camera navigation ergonomics, bimanual coordination precision, tissue handling, intracorporeal suturing techniques, as well as principles of teamwork and communication in the operating theatre.
Interactive discussion and active participation are strongly encouraged, fostering a dynamic educational environment and meaningful exchange of clinical experience.
We are confident that this workshop will uphold the highest educational standards and meet your professional expectations. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing a productive, engaging and enriching learning experience.
With kind regards,
Chair of the Educational Course
